He brings deep expertise in diabetes management, longevity medicine, and weight loss treatments involving GLP-1 receptor agonists — combining hands-on clinical training with years of professional medical writing experience.
Gerardo earned his Associate of Science from St. Petersburg College (2010), Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the University of South Florida (2014), and his Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from the University of Florida (2018), graduating Cum Laude. He completed a clinical internship and longitudinal research program at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, Florida, where he was involved in medication therapy management, transitions of care, and chronic disease management as part of the interdisciplinary care team.
With clinical experience spanning both hospital and community pharmacy settings, Gerardo transitioned to full-time medical writing and now serves as the owner and founder of LetterMed, LLC, a medical content creation and review company. He is a certified instructor for the Diabetes Empowerment Education Program (DEEP) and an active member of the American Medical Writers Association (AMWA).
